As I begin my third term as President, I’m grateful for the trust and partnership of this incredible chapter. It continues to be an honor to serve alongside you while also remaining Co‑Chair of the Emerging Professionals Program, an initiative that reflects our commitment to developing the next generation of procurement leaders.

Summary-highlights in 2025
During National Procurement Month, NCPP recognizes those procurement professionals – individuals and teams – who go Above & Beyond in their roles for their entity and communities.
Throughout the month of March, there will be 15 Awards – 12 Individual Awards
and 3 team awards. This is where you come in – we need your nominations! Please take a few minutes to nominate that deserving peer or manager. The whole world should know how great they are.
Our Education and Research Committee is hard at work bringing you classes for your professional development. In addition, our chapter can earn money from the NIGP Learning Giveback Program. For every course our chapter hosts, we’ll earn 10% of gross revenue. These rebates are paid right after the course ends. In addition, For every NIGP member that registers for a NIGP-hosted course that identifies themselves as a member of WANIGP chapter at the time of registration, NIGP will give back 5% of gross revenue for each registration. Please select WA State Chapter of NIGP with every registration. NIGP will pay our chapter earning money from the Giveback Program on a quarterly basis. As part of our initiative in raising funds for Area 8 Regional Conference coming up in Spring 2027. Please take advantage of this opportunity to help our chapter raise funds for a successful event.
Each year, NIGP proclaims the 2nd Wednesday in March as Procurement Professionals Day. President, Ginny Justiniano issued the proclamation on Monday, February 9th on behalf of the 2026 WANIGP Board of Directors.
NIGP Pipeline & Placement Committee has appointed Maija Lampinen with the Port of Everett, WANIGP Immediate Past President to the NIGP Chapter Ambassador Committee and as the new Chapter Ambassador for Area 8 beginning January 1, 2026.
